Security

Elevate your online security with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and safeguard your sensitive data against unauthorised access.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), is a security protocol that adds an extra layer of protection to your online accounts, even if your password falls into the wrong hands. This is achieved by combining your password (a piece of information only you should know) with a second factor, typically a device in your possession like your smartphone.

Why you should set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you handle sensitive data, like financial information or confidential customer details, 2FA provides an extra line of defence against unauthorised access and data breaches.

2FA makes it significantly more difficult for potential cybercriminals to impersonate you and gain access to your personal data and online accounts. You can find this additional security feature in the security settings of your SAVOIRR account. The process is simple and requires you to link your account to a second factor—which is an authenticator app on your smartphone or your email address.

Prefer authenticator apps for your 2FA setup

We highly recommend using 2FA authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Bitwarden or Microsoft Authenticator. These apps generate temporary codes on your device that you can use for authentication. They are generally more secure than email because they function even if your email account is compromised. Furthermore, they work offline and provide a more seamless experience.

However, if you prefer, you can also use your email address as the second factor. In this case, a verification code will be sent to your email whenever a login attempt is made.
