Search and Filters
The category "Research" contains all data relevant to your monitoring, from Consultations to People. The search bar enables you to find specific items based on title, ID or some other relevant keyword. However, when it is necessary to filter by other parameters (topic, assignee, levels, etc.) filters are the best tool to find what you are looking for.
Filters contain two overall categories based on where in the research they are applicable:
- Global filters are applied to all tabs simultaneously and once you select them, you can view all the tabs in 'Research' to find items filtered by: Time Range, Levels & Bodies, Policy Areas and Assignee
- Local filters are applied only to the selected tab you currently have opened and after you switch to another tab, the search will be reset. These include: Internal Data and Status
All categories share certain filters (Assignee, Internal Data), but most of them have specific filters tied to the category or contain specific subcategories tied only to these items (Status, Competence, Types, etc.).
In order to filter a category by one or more filters, you can click on the "Filter" button and choose one or more from the drop-down list. Every specific filter can then be further refined with their own subcategories and selections.
Types of filters:
- Internal data, Tags and Assignee filters enable you to filter based on parameters you set yourself (eg. internal field "Relevance")
- Topics enable the filtering based on certain categories like Business, Digital, Environment, etc.
- Time range enables you to search for items submitted in a certain time period
- Status filters consultations and procedures based on four statuses: Planned, Ongoing, Closed and Cancelled
- Types filter Procedures and Documents based on their types, like Pre-Legislative and Legislative procedures
- Legislative levels is a high level filter which enables you to filter out items from a certain dataset (EU, CH, others) to refine your search
- Competence, Scheduled in committee, Responsible committee and Treating committee are filters which enable you to search through items related to a certain body only (EU committees like AFET or CH committees like WAK or SGK)
